Are you a student or university graduate looking to work on cutting-edge technology, learn from industry experts in AI & ML, and gain hands-on experience with projects that directly impact our customers? As an intern in the #SnowClub, you will do this and so much more!

We’re answering some of the most common questions our University Recruiting team receives from around the globe to help set you up for success and make your mark on our team.

When do internships at Snowflake start?

  • In North America, internships run in the Spring, Summer, and Fall with specified cohort start dates. In the EMEA and APAC regions, internships are year-round and usually 12 - 16 weeks long. Start and end dates can vary by role and region - be sure to check with your recruiter regarding your specific start and end date.

How do I apply for an internship at Snowflake? What happens after I apply?

  • All of our available roles for students can be found on our Careers Site and are posted year-round as they become available. Once you see a role you are interested in, please apply directly so your application can get in front of the appropriate hiring team. If you do not see a role that suits your interests or skill sets, we recommend joining our  Talent Community where we’ll keep you up to date as future positions are posted!
  • Our technical roles utilize coding assessments that will be the first step in the interview process, followed by technical interviews with team members. Non-technical roles will include interviews with the manager and team members in a one-on-one or panel format interview.

Describe the internship program. What can we expect?

  • During the internship program experience, you’ll work on cutting-edge technology, learn from industry experts, and help drive projects that shape the future of Snowflake as they’re rolled into production. In addition to receiving relevant on-the-job experience, you’ll have lots of opportunities to participate in professional development trainings, networking sessions, and mentorship opportunities—not to mention a ton of opportunities to socialize and meet your fellow intern cohorts! All internship events are designed to enhance your experience and help expand your network.

What roles are you hiring interns for?

  • Snowflake hires interns globally and for many different organizations throughout the company. Some of the teams that often hire interns are Engineering, Finance, Human Resources, IT, Marketing, Professional Services, and Sales.

If I don't get hired for an internship, when can I apply for that role again?

  • It’s required that you wait until the next seasonal internship program to apply again. If you don’t get hired for an internship, we recommend adding some additional project work or internship experience to your resume before applying again for the next season.

I didn't hear back after my most recent application, what does that mean?

  • It is our goal to respond to every application within 2-3 weeks with a decision or next steps. However, due to fluctuations in applicant volume and resources, it may take longer. Be patient; we will get back to you as soon as we can!

I don't see any roles explicitly for recent college graduates, what roles can I apply for?

  • Due to employment regulations, we are prevented from posting roles specifically for recent college graduates. Therefore, we recommend you review the required years of experience outlined in each job description to find out which opportunities are suitable for you.
  • As we are prevented from posting roles specifically for recent college graduates due to employment regulations, applicants can review the years of experience requirement outlined in each role to find which opportunities are suitable for an applicant coming out of a degree program.

I worked in a different industry prior to my master's/second degree.  How should I quantify my years of experience for a role within my new specialty?

  • We ask that you review the job description for each role you’re interested in, consider the specific duties and responsibilities of the role to determine how relevant your prior years of experience may be, and only list the number of years you’ve spent working within those duties and responsibilities.
